Ooooo nice choice! Get a big Swiss Army knife to go with that rifle and that will be the perfect gift! A hunter usually needs a good knife.

Our CO gave a talk to kids. Stay OUT of school!
by easyreader1970 inhe wanted to talk to the young ones in the congregation.
the main theme of the talk had to do with avoiding higher education.
basically the main idea was this: witnesses are losing alot of young people here in the last few years.

I am so pissed off that I was not steered toward college immediately after high school. I did what was expected of me: got married and started a family at age 18. We've been a single parent family on welfare and foodstamps ever since.
I'M SICK OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just took my final final this morning at 8am. I'm done with college and will start grad school in the fall at age 40. A couple of my friends are laughing at me because I'm so late in getting it done, but I have to do this!

Diary of a thinking to return ex-Jw
by reniaa ini thought long and hard about posting this but the mis-information on this site finally persuaded me, i already accept many may not accept what i say on face value and get their appologist pens ready for making sure no pro-witness propaganda slips through the net on this site but here goes....... i've been on this forum for a few months my first post was about how i was thinking of returning to jw's and at my sisters recommendation to look at this site for both sides of the story before taking that step.. i faded from jw's 10/11 years ago now i left my hubby at the time divorced him to going on to have more relationships and kids, i was definately given the impression after asking on this site and with what i read that if i tried to return i might face df or at least a jc but definately a couple of elders questioning me over what i've been upto these last few years - none of these have happened.
i talked with an old jw friend (yes i do have then and she never shunned me quite happily accepted an offer of coffee from me and my asking for a chat) i told her i was interested in going back and was very frank about what i done in the last 10 years but not sure how returning was done now, she quite happily said she go ask for me to find out.. result!
she came back this week and said "all i had to do was goto meetings again" and an offer of a study was there for me if i wanted it to explore the open doubts that i had expressed i now had.. not quite the fire and brimstone welcome this site led me to believe would happen.. i will keep you posted with further updates if i feel the need to put them in future.. .

Hmm...don't know Cheekie, but this idea is very interesting. Why would someone want to TROLL anyway? Seems like a waste of time to me.

Do really thick school books count? I've read a ton of them.
The whole HP series in a couple of months
The Grapes of Wrath
Pride and Prejudice
A few Stephen King books
Nothing really long like Anna Karanina, though. I tried to read really long ones but just got lost. They seem to drag for me. I like fast paced books. If any really long fast paced books come along, then yes, I'll read them.
I don't watch TV but for maybe one hour/month.

Do you think it's possible that she is really trying to convince herself against what she already knows, that returning to JW is the best thing? I think she may be thinking it out for herself on this board. Could it be that she is not completely convinced that returning to the vomit would be such a great idea? She might be picking our brains for ideas and excuses not to go back but is desperate for some kind of anchor that would be as strong as JW. Because she hasn't found that anchor, she feels that JW is the only place to go, even if she doesn't really want to. It's hard to convince yourself of something you don't want to believe but still are addicted to.

demons, spirit creatures
by megaflower indo any believe that we are infulenced by these creatures.
the wts would give talkes about the demons saying, do not talk out loud about things that bother you.
they will know your weakness but they are not able to read your mind.

I'm with diamondblue on this one. I'm studying Wicca and it has absolutely nothing to do with demons, the devil, or negative energies (unless you are conjuring up positive energies to counter the negative attitudes of yourself or others).
That experience with demon rape is bogus. Any of the stories I've ever heard about demons raping someone was always by someone I never knew. It was always in Africa, too. All of the demonic things happened in Africa, so all those stories go according to the yearbooks through the years.

JW religion is not all that bad really
by veen ini know we all have issues with the borg, but really i think there are far more despicable religions on the go, namely american style evangelical christianity.
i'm watching a film called 'jesus camp' as i type and all i can say is any of you idiots who post on here who say you left the jw's and have now found jesus are totally retarded.
you really need to get a grip on reality and stop needing religion as a crutch.

Bizzy Bee,
Ooops! My appolgies to all 19 year olds out there. My son is 19 and smart as a whip. He speaks respectfully and would never address strangers in such rude terms as "retarded."
There is a difference all right between being blunt and being rude.
Hunny is nicer than vinegar. People will tend to not listen to a rude person. Bragging about being blunt is a turn off, too. Politeness never goes out of style.
